As reported by TalkSport, Haaland admitted that he felt sorry for Lewandowski when he realised what was happening.
Bayern Munich Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidžić revealed recently that Bayern were interested in signing Haaland before he made a move to the Premier League, Bayern Strikes reported.
Lewandowski was not happy when he realised the club were looking for a replacement for him. That moment started the demise of his relationship with the team, and he eventually forced a move to Barcelona.
The Polish striker received sympathy from Haaland, who admitted that when he put himself in Lewandowski’s shoes, he felt sorry for him.
He added that it was disrespectful to Lewandowski after all the goals he scored and titles he won for the club, but maintained that this was a chance for him to take a new step in his career.
