The rate of footballers being robbed in Spain is reaching an alarming rate as former Barcelona striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the latest victim of an attack.
The 33-year-old was attacked at home and was left with a broken jaw and some valuables carted away before sealing a transfer deadline day move to English Premier League side, Chelsea.
Aubameyang now joins the list of top footballers in Spain that has experienced their homes broken into by robbers, including the likes of Karim Benzema, Gerard Pique, Ronaldo Nazario, and Jordi Alba.

Karim Benzema
Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema has had his home broken by the dreaded robbers, although the striker was not present at the time of the robbery.
The Frenchman was playing a match against Elche when a group of hooded men entered his home in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Marca reports
The thieves took advantage of the fact that there was no one in the house to enter and steal all kinds of objects.
As the police explained, the assailants jumped the fence that surrounds the house and broke a blind and a window to gain access to the interior of the house.

Barcelona defender, Gerard Piqué and his then partner Shakira also had their home targeted by thieves in June 2018.

In this case, there is a 24-hour security guard who claimed not to see anything strange at the time of the robbery and the thieves were unable to take valuables as they could be discovered at any time.

Even being retired, Ronaldo Nazario was the victim of a robbery in his villa in Ibiza.
The gang that carried out the robbery in the home of the former Real Madrid player were from Albania, and had data on other homes of important people such as politicians and other athletes.
In Ronaldo's case, the thieves made off with three million euros worth of watches and jewellery.
The culprits were discovered by the wife of PSG footballer Marco Verrati, who was there with her husband celebrating a barbecue.
Some of the valuable objects that were stolen were a Rolex valued at 62,000 euros, a jewel bought in Paris and valued at another 17,600 euros. They also took a gold watch with diamonds valued at about 400,000 euros.
