AS Roma missed the perfect chance to go top of the Serie A as they suffered a heavy defeat against Udinese on Sunday, September 4.
Jose Mourinho’s side really did not get going, in truth, as they were completely outclassed by a sturdy Udinese’s side who did not go into the game to lose.
Destiny Udogie opened the scoring for the home side as he took advantage of a defensive error and from then on, the home side took control of the game.
It was in the second half that the home side turned on the style as they made it 2-0 in the 56th minute through Lazar Samardžić's mid-range shot which bounced off goalkeeper Rui Patrício.

On 75 minutes, Gabriel Pereyra made it 3-0 win another mid-range shot and the score was wrapped up by Sandi Lovrić's strike in the 82nd minute.
This was Mourinho’s heaviest defeat in the Serie A, with his only other losses by a four goal margin or more coming in the Premier League and La Liga.
In the Premier League, his Manchester United side lost 4-0 to Chelsea in 2016, while Real Madrid lost 5-0 to Barcelona back in 2010.
