Marcos Alonso is set to be Barcelona’s latest acquisition after the Catalans reached an agreement for the Spanish defender with Chelsea with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joining the Blues.
Barcelona will however face an uphill task with the registration of Alonso following the refusal of club veteran, Jordi Alba to leave the team.
According to Sport Bible, Barcelona are unsure whether they can register Alonso and are now trying to find a solution to solve Alba’s future as he has no interest in leaving Camp Nou.

The 33-year-old has turned down a deadline day transfer to Italian giants, Inter Milan and his staying would mean Barcelona could potentially have three left-backs in their ranks for the season.
Barcelona received Alonso alongside £10m for the sale of Aubameyang who has now departed Camp Nou after joining the Catalans in January.
Barcelona terminate Martin Braithwaite’s contract
Meanwhile, the career of Danish attacker Martin Braithwaite at Barcelona has ended as he has signed a contract termination with the Blaugrana on Deadline Day SB Nation reports.
Braithwaite’s contract with Barcelona was due to end in 2024 but the forward has decided to end his spell with the Catalans after he was declared surplus to requirement at the Camp Nou.
Barcelona has publicly thanked Braithwaite for his work and dedication and has wished him the best of luck and further success.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Marcos Alonso could finally get his dream move to La Liga giants Barcelona this summer just two days before the transfer window closes.
The 31-year-old has not featured for the Blues this season as speculations suggest he wants to force a move to Barcelona.
Barcelona president, Joan Laporta has assured Alonso that he will do everything within his means to sign him in the next 48 hours.
