Nigerian striker Simy Nwankwo has completed a loan move to Italian Serie B side Benevento Calcio from Serie A club Salernitana in what looks like something not good enough for his game.

The arrival of Krzysztof Piatek and Franck Ribery at Salernitana made the Super Eagles striker to lose his place in the first team thereby being forced to leave this summer.

Nwankwo moved to Benevento on a one-year loan deal with the option that the Serie B side could buy him at the end of the season.

Has Simy played any game this season for Salernitana

Simy has not featured in any game for Salernitana this season in the Serie A, also failing to make the substitutes' bench in all three league matches.

Spanish Club Real Sociedad Announce Signing of Super Eagles Forward Umar Sadiq

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad have announced the signing of Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq on a four-year deal.

Sociedad became interested in the Nigerian international after Alexander Isaq left the club to join English Premier League side Newcastle United for a club-record fee of €70m.

Real Sociedad took to their social media accounts to announce the signing of the former AS Roma of Italy forward.

Sadiq’s future had been uncertain as quite a number of European clubs jostled for his signature following his impressive performances for Almeria last season.

He scored 40 league goals for Almeria in two years, helping them secure La Liga promotion in the last campaign.

Villarreal initially led the race to sign the Nigerian international, but the Yellow Submarines were priced out of a move.

The 25-year-old joins for a fee of €20m + €5m add-ons to become Nigeria's eighth-joint most-expensive player alongside ex-Chelsea star John Mikel Obi.
