- The first legs of the last four will take place on the first of October, before the second legs are played on the 22nd of the month
- Orlando Pirates will take on Mamelodi Sundowns, with Kaizer Chiefs and Amazulu clashing in the other tie
Football fans can now pencil in two important dates on their calendar.
The Premier Soccer League has announced when the semifinals of the MTN 8 Wafa Wafa will take place. The first legs will play out on the 1st of October, before the return matches conclude on the 22nd of the month.
Orlando Pirates, who won the tournament in 2020, will collide with the defending champions in the one semifinal. Record winners Kaizer Chiefs, who last won the tournament in 2014, will try getting past the threatening Amazulu, who have never won the tournament in the club's history.
Amazulu defeated Cape Town City 2-1 in the first quarterfinal last Saturday afternoon in Cape Town. Later that day, Orlando Pirates saw off Royal AM 2-1 in Durban. Kaizer Chiefs needed a penalty shootout to get past Stellenbosch FC on Sunday afternoon after a 1-1 draw in Stellenbosch. Mamelodi Sundowns rounded off proceedings with a 2-0 win over SuperSport United in the evening.

Interestingly, the Brazilians will take on their cross-town rivals Matsatsantsa will meet tomorrow night, just five days after their MTN 8 encounter at the Tuks Stadium in Tshwane.
