Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has condemned the criminals who attacked his home in the early hours of Monday morning in a statement released by the Barcelona forward.

The 33-year-old termed the hoodlums as “violent cowards” after he was physically assaulted during the armed robbery, which left him with a broken jaw.

According to Sport Bible, at least four men entered Aubameyang’s property at 1 am and threatened both the Barcelona striker and his wife with firearms and iron bars.

Before fleeing the scene, the robbers were successful in opening a safe and removing valuables, including several jewels, with Aubameyang now confirming he and his family are all safe after the incident.

Aubameyang has been a subject of transfer this window as Chelsea are interested in signing the 33-year-old forward before the transfer window shuts on September 1.

Meanwhile, English Premier League side, Chelsea have tabled an offer worth £10 million for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a last-minute push to sign the striker from Barcelona, Barca Universal reports.

Despite continuous discussions between Chelsea and Barcelona to close the deal as soon as possible, the two sides have not yet achieved an agreement.

Chelsea is eager to include Marcos Alonso, who Barcelona is interested in, in the agreement to sign Aubameyang. Even if the Catalans had pushed for seeing the two transactions as independent options.

Aubameyang suffers fractured jaw in home robbery

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Chelsea’s bid to sign Gabonese forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is facing serious threats after it was confirmed the striker is suffering from a fractured jaw.

Aubameyang’s Barcelona home was attacked by thieves in the early hours of Monday morning, with the robbers carting away several of the striker’s pieces of jewellery.

Chelsea are sceptical about moving on with their bid to sign Aubameyang from Barcelona as the forward will be out for a few weeks due to his injury.
