Daughter of Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez, Maria Gonzalez Redondo, has signed for Real Madrid women's cadet team.
The 12-year-old striker, who will wear the no.7 shirt of her father, was signed by Real Madrid from Olympia Las Rozas.
After spending three years with Olympia Las Rozas, the young forward will be registered with the Real Madrid's U15 squad under the tutelage of Roberto Tomas.
Born in December 2009, the year Raul left Real Madrid, Maria is the youngest child of the legendary Spanish forward, after four boys: Jorge, Hugo, Hector, and Mateo (the latter two of which are twins).
Raul spent 18 years with Real Madrid and became the all-time top scorer for the Los Blancos and the UEFA Champions League, before Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo took both of those feats.
He joined Schalke 04 in 2009, before completing a move to Al Sadd in Qatar and United State of America's New York Cosmos.
The former Spain star hanged his boot in 2015, and has since returned to Madrid to coach the club’s Castilla youth team.
And now he has been joined by his daughter with the two working together in the capital.
