As reported by Manchester Evening News, Erik ten Hag was keen on bringing Dest to Old Trafford. Manchester United were in talks with Barcelona over the player’s services, but no deal has yet been agreed upon.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update into Dest’s situation. According to Romano, Villarreal are also interested in securing the player’s signature.
The ball remains in Dest’s court as to where he will be playing his football. He could opt to stay at the Blaugrana but faces life on the sidelines if he does.
