VAR took centre stage in Ghana this week as it was used to full effect during a community football gala.
Although, the technology is yet to be installed at the major stadiums in the country and even used for the Ghanaian topflight. The Adonko Two Fingers community gala paved the way after putting the innovation to work.
In photos posted on social media from the event, referees took advantage the VAR as they officiated their games during the competition.
Several footballing communities from the Accra took part on the first day of the tournament at the Fadama Astroturf.

Hosts Fadama were joined by Ashongman, Abeka, Amasaman, Nungua and many other communities in the capital.
The community gala continues on Wednesday as scouts troop to the Fadama Park to monitor some talented footballers.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former Ghana international, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, has claimed his first domestic title with topflight side Accra Great Olympics.
The 31-year-old featured as Great Olympics defeated Bechem United to win the GHALCA G6 competition on Monday, August 29, 2022.
In a photo posted on social media, Agyemang-Badu looks excited as he lifted the trophy with his teammates at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that multiple award winning Ghanaian singer, King Promise, took the chance to meet Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu after the game against Chelsea on Tuesday night at the Saint Mary's.
Mohammed Salisu produced a solid performance as Southampton shocked Chelsea to claim all three points at home.
In a photo posted on social media after the game, King Promise, who is in England to promote his new album 5 Star, was spotted with the centre-back.
