The two footie stars secured the prestigious individual award after they both found the back of the net on 23 occasions.

Erling Haaland leads Golden Boot race after four rounds of matches

Haaland has already hit the ground running barely weeks after he made his bow in the Premier League.

The Norwegian striker is currently leading the charts with six goals to his name, with City's clash with Crystal Palace over the weekend affording him a chance to extend his tally.

The tie saw Haaland bag his first Premier League hat-trick, with the treble taking his tally to six goals.

Harry Kane is hot on his heels with four goals, having scored a brace during Tottenham Hotspur's meeting with Nottingham on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp's charges commenced the game like a house on fire, bombarding the opposition goal area as the Reds went in search of their first win of the campaign.
