Harry Kane shines as Tottenham sink Nottingham Forest
Harry Kane was the man of the moment during the trip as he scored on either half of the clash to help Tottenham cart home the three points.
The Englishman needed just six minutes to open the scoring for the visitors, bobbling a gentle shot past the flat-footed Dean Henderson.
The England international had a chance to double the advantage shortly after the break when Spurs won a penalty, only for Henderson to save.
Son Heung-Min went close shortly after he broke into the area, but Henderson was in place to fend off the threat posed by the Korean.
Kane went on to make amends for his earlier miss with nine minutes left on the clock, heading into the empty net from five yards to make it 2-0.

Antonio Conte had banned Ndombele and other Spurs players from first-team training
Sports Brief had earlier reported that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has banned four of his players from his first-team training sessions. Conte is looking to fine-tune his squad before the closure of the transfer period.
The players include Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, Sergio Reguillon and Giovani Lo Celso, who will now train away from the squad as the club looks to sell them.
Ndombele has failed to impress during his time in London and was loaned out to his former club Lyon last season. Winks and Reguillon have operated under the shadows of other first-team regulars, but the acquisition of Yves Bissouma and Ivan Perisic sealed their fate.
