Reports in recent weeks have suggested Fofana, 21, is growing desperate to join Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
He is reportedly set to pen a stunning six-year deal at Stamford Bridge that will see him stay at the club until 2028.
Notably, boos also rang out at Stamford Bridge on Saturday on former Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell as he warmed up near the away supporters.
But it was not all gloom at Stamford Bridge, as some Chelsea players actually expressed excitement at the prospect of Fofana.
Reece James in particular donned a hairstyle that has previously been spotted on Fofana.
Chelsea sink Leicester despite going down to 10 men
As far as the game was concerned, it as Chelsea who emerged on top thanks to two Raheem Sterling goals.
After a goalless first half, Sterling turned up the style in the second period, finding the opener with a fine curler that took a slight deflection on the way in.
The England winger then made a trademark run in the box to get to the end of a brilliant move for a tap in, with the Blues going 2-1 up despite playing with 10 men after the dismissal of Conor Gallagher in the first half.
