The club recently shared a video on social media where players reacted to the draw. While some seemed to celebrate having to pit themselves against some of the best players in the world, others looked absolutely stunned that they were drawn into the dreaded toughest group in the tournament.
How did Viktoria Plzeň qualify for the Group stages?
After a lengthy qualifying campaign, Viktoria Plzeň faced off against Azerbaijani side, Qarabağ in the final game. With the victory over Qarabağ, Plzeň booked their place in the tournament group stages for only the fourth time in the club’s history.
Plzeň have never made it out of the Champions League group stages before and will need a miracle to pull it off this season.
