Malik Abubakari's reaction after the game:
"By far the biggest reason was the trust and good feelings that arose in the conversations with the coach and the director of sports. They were in contact with me themselves and saw that I fit into HJK's system very well. They really wanted me, which gave me faith in this move. All the people in the club have been incredibly nice to me since the first moment," he told the club's website.
"It's great to be part of the biggest team in Finland - even for a little while. Other Ghanaians have played in Helsinki. At HJK, a lot of talented young people are being trained, who will move from here to higher levels in Europe. In addition, the team qualified for a place in Europe, which was one of the encouraging reasons behind my move. I have played in the Champions League, and I know how good it feels to represent your club in Europe."
