Super Falconets Finally Arrive Nigeria As NFF Confirms Owing Them, Falcons

Mohammed Sanusi who the Secretary General of the Nigerian Football Federation has disclosed that the soccer ruling body are yet to pay the Super Falconets and Falcons their bonuses.

The football chief made this known while welcoming the Super Falconets back to Nigeria after crashing out of the 2022 World Cup in Costa Rica.

Coach Christopher Danjuma and his wards started their campaign at the 2022 World Cup in Costa Rica impressively winning their first three games before losing to the Netherlands.

They were stranded in Turkey for 24 hours before the players and coaching crew eventually landed in Abuja.

According to the report on Pulse, Mohammed Sanusi explained that the NFF are currently processing how the Falcons and Falconets will be paid.

Mohammed Sanusi's reaction about Falcons, Falconets

"It was approved for the Super Falcons, it's being processed that we should also pay you from there.
"So, we can assure you that the same time the Falcons are going to be paid, you also are going to be paid your bonuses, competition bonuses.
"This is just to let you know that Nigerians appreciated all that you did. But we are saddened by the fact that on your way back you had to sleep at the airport for reasons beyond our control."

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles defender Zaidu Sanusi could be on his way to the Premier League as those in charge of Everton are interested in signing the 25-year-old who currently plays for Porto.

Everton are said to be on the front foot as gaffer Frank Lampard is reported to be a fan of the Nigerian player.

Zaidu Sanusi has been playing for FC Porto since 2020 joining the club from Santa Clara and has since then featured in 49 games netting 4 goals.
