Barcelona and Manchester City are ready to do battle for a good cause.
The two giants of European football will play in a special friendly game to raise funds, and awareness, for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
The two sides last faced each other in a Champions League game six years ago but will not do battle once again, this time under different circumstances. Fan Nation reported that all game proceeds will be donated to the Luzón Foundation, whose mission is to improve the lives of ALS patients.
The game will be held in honour of former Barcelona goalkeeper and coach, Juan Carlos Unzué. The Barca legend was diagnosed with ALS over two years ago.

Why are Manchester City playing?
Manchester City’s coach, Pep Guardiola, was a former teammate of Unzué at Barcelona. Unzué was also part of Guardiola’s coaching staff at the Catalan club and the Man City manager described it as an honour to play in the special game.
"We want to thank Barca for inviting us to this wonderful venue. We will tell our players why this matters so much. It is admirable. I am very happy to come," he said.
Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland meet again
The game will also have an added layer to it as Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski face off. The duo are no strangers to each other, having both played in the Bundesliga for many years.
