Many supporters of Dutch giants Ajax have praised Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey for his impressive performance while making his debut for the club over the weekend.
The Nigerian finally featured in his first Eredivisie match since joining Ajax, playing from start to finish in the narrow 1-0 win at Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday, 21 August.
His made some incredible run from the back to support the attack and even fired some shots for his club against their opponents.
It will be recalled that Calvin Bassey was red carded while playing for Ajax against PSV Eindhoven in the Johan Cruff shield and was given two-match suspension.
He however missed Ajax's first two games of the season before making a return to the squad.

According to the report on Soccernet, Steven Bergwijn’s 37th-minute strike was enough to hand the visitors all three points.
Some fans have however maintained that Calvin Bassey will later be moving to Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
The defender has also been impressive for the Super Eagles so far featuring in six games.

Lucas Grgic scored the second goal for HNK Hajduk Split in the 39th minute, but the visitors pulled one back in the 74th minute via a penalty as the game ended 2-1 in favour of Awaziem and teammates.
