Christopher Danjuma's reaction about loss to Netherlands

“This is football when your opponent capitalizes on your mistake and they punish you for that,” Danjuma told a post-match press conference.
“I think we had these few mistakes starting and we were punished for it and we had our chances and we could not take it.
“Football is all about taking your chances. But it is just unfortunate because nobody wants to go into the game and lose. We wanted to go all the way, but it did not happen.”

Chidozie Awaziem Scores Amazing Goal in Europe as Video Emerges

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Chidozie Awaziem scored a goal many strikers in the world will be proud of in Hajduk Split’s 2-1 triumph over Lokomotiva Zagreb on Sunday evening, 21 August, in what was a tough match.

Awaziem’s goal which was his second in club football for over four years brings the centre-back full circle from being a villain to a hero within a week.

The Super Eagles defender and his teammates started the encounter impressively and waited until the 33rd minute before the Nigerian gave them the lead.

His goal was indeed an impressive strike being a defender and the Super Eagles star also celebrated it in an incredible way.
