Christopher Danjuma who is the coach of the Super Falconets of Nigeria has explained that Netherlands capitalized on his wards' mistake to punish them in the World Cup.
The Super Falconets have crashed out at the ongoing 2022 Women's World Cup going on in Costa Rica after losing 2-0 against Netherlands in the quarterfinal clash on Monday morning, 22 August.
The Nigerian girls went into this encounter as favourites having won their first three games in the Group stages, but they were unable to beat the Netherlands.
According to the video posted by the Super Falcons, Christopher Danjuma explained that his players never wanted to lose the quarterfinal encounter.

Christopher Danjuma's reaction about loss to Netherlands
“This is football when your opponent capitalizes on your mistake and they punish you for that,” Danjuma told a post-match press conference.
“I think we had these few mistakes starting and we were punished for it and we had our chances and we could not take it.
“Football is all about taking your chances. But it is just unfortunate because nobody wants to go into the game and lose. We wanted to go all the way, but it did not happen.”
