Feirense player Jardel came up with one of the most unique methods of striking a penalty ever seen in football over the weekend.
The Portuguesee Segunda division clash involving Feiense and Leixoes was an interesting one as both sided had chances to clinch the win.
It was Leixoes who took the lead in the 20th minute through Joao Oliviera, but the home side found the equaliser in the 65th minute in unique fashion.
Having been handed a penalty, Feirense handed the task to Jardel, who entertained with his ‘frozen’ technique of taking a spot kick.

The player stood over the ball with his striking leg up for a couple of tense seconds before eventually hitting the ball past the goalie for the equaliser.
It was an interesting sight all over as Jardel did not make any run up to generate power to his shot. Furthermore, it also looked like the referee and other players subconsciously followed his example as they were also frozen on the spot as he took the penalty.
Interestingly, Feirense got another penalty late in the game and as you would expect, Jardel stepped up once again with a similar technique.
This time, however the goalkeeper was up to the task as he expertly saved the low strike for the game to end in a 1-1 stalemate.

Koundé is not yet registered with La Liga and, therefore, unable to play any league games for the Catalan giants. He is set to miss out on his second game of the season when Barcelona travels to take on Sociedad.
With another matchday passing him by, Koundé is said to be growing frustrated at the club, Football Espana reported.
