Jurgen Klopp has claimed that Liverpool should be awarded the three points if their clash against rivals Manchester United is abandoned.
The Reds are scheduled to take on United at Old Trafford on Monday night, August 21, in what will be their third fixture of the new season.
However, the mouthwatering clash is in danger of being abandoned due to planned protests by Man United fans.
According to The Guardian, the United supporters’ group 'The 1958' is planning demonstrations against The Glazers at Monday’s Premier League match.

This would be a repeat of last season's protests when the same group staged a demo at the Theatre of Dreams during their clash against Liverpool.
The incident led to the postponement of the clash, with Liverpool going on to win it 4-2.
Klopp wants Liverpool awarded three points if the Monday clash is abandoned
However, Klopp believes it would only be fair that Liverpool are awarded all the points should the match be abandoned.
According to the German tactician, rearranging the fixture would be unfair for Liverpool as they have nothing to do with the Man United crisis.
“I really hope it will not happen but if it does happen I think we should get the points," Klopp was quoted saying.
