Nigerian international Jamilu Collins has been ruled out of the season after he sustained a devastating injury.

It was gathered that the Super Eagles defender suffered a knock in Cardiff City’s Sky Bet Championship clash against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Monday.

The club manager, Steve Morison, disclosed that the 28-year-old will not be in action for the remainder of this season, Complete Sports reports.

According to the tactician, it is the worst scenario considering that the current campaign barely started and there is a long way to go.

Morison was quoted by Walesonline.co.uk:

“We won’t see him again until next season. It’s gutting for the lad. Really gutting. We are all here for him. We are going to make the next year the best it can possibly be for him.
“It’s the worst-case scenario. We will try and get him back for pre-season next year. One thing we do know is we will have one hell of a left-back next season.”
“On a plus-point for him, his family has just moved over and he has his family with him now. The lads will get behind him, he will be around. I’m sure you’ll see his smiling face around the place. We have something else to fight for now.”

Victor Moses undergoes successful surgery

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian star Victor Moses has undergone a successful surgery in Germany and will be out of action for about six months.

Russian Premier League club Spartak Moscow confirmed that the former Chelsea player will be on the sidelines for some time.

The former Super Eagles forward sustained an injury on his Achilles tendon in Spartak Moscow’s 2-0 league win against Ural.

The former Chelsea star was immediately stretchered off the pitch in the 33rd minute of the encounter and was subsequently replaced by Mikhail Ignatov.
