Werner, who re-signed for Leipzig in the summer from Chelsea, believes that his side has the quality to still ‘annoy’ Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga this season, NDTV reported.
"As we've seen in many leagues it is possible for another team to become champions. I think we have enough quality to annoy Bayern and Dortmund during the season," he said.
He added that Leipzig had a great squad that could achieve a lot this season, especially when it came to challenging for the Bundesliga title.
Leipzig will be hoping to get their season back on track when they travel to take on Union Berlin this weekend.
