Fabian Ruiz’s future at Napoli now faces an uncertain future after he was told he would be left out of the squad if he did not agree to sign for Paris Saint Germain.

The talented midfielder is currently under contract until 2023 but recently turned down an extension.

According to Football Italia, Ruiz is now poised to join the French giants but the deal is proving to be complicated because of Keylor Navas.

Negotiations with PSG are still ongoing, and Ruiz’s deal is supposed to involve Navas coming to Napoli on loan with some of his salary paid by his parent club.

RAI Sport further reports that Ruiz has now been given an ultimatum, that he needs to sign for PSG in August or he will be left in the stands until January.

This is not the first time Napoli are resorting to such extreme measures as Arkadiusz Milik also found himself in a similar situation not too long ago.

Milik has since joined Ligue 1 side Marseille.
