FootballAFCON qualifiers postponed
Meanwhile, Sports Brief earlier reported that there won't be any 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for the rest of this year.
The fixtures set for September have been postponed until next March, allowing teams that have qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be better prepared for the campaign in Qatar.
Senegal, Ghana, Morocco, Cameroon and Tunisia will do battle in the Middle East between November and December.
With AFCON 2023 set to be hosted by the Ivory Coast in January 2024, the third and fourth qualifying rounds have now been scheduled for March.
