When the Super Falcons star was listed among the 20 contenders, Nigerians were happy that she was able to make it, thanks to her superb performances for Barcelona last season.
Asisat Oshoala was also nominated days after being crowned the best African female footballer for the year 2022 and she has now won the award five times.
