Angel Di Maria is set to miss a number of games for Juventus with an adductor injury, Juventus has confirmed.

Di Maria was instrumental for Juventus as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Sassuolo in their first Serie A match on Monday, August 15 as he came up with a goal and assist.

However, Massimiliano Allegri will have to do without the winger’s services for at least 10 days.

The club confirmed on their website that Di Maria, 34, has suffered a low-degree lesion in the adductor of his left thigh.

While the exact date of his return is not clear, Juventus indicated he would be assessed once again in 10 days.

Which games will Di Maria miss?

Juventus’ next game is against Sampdoria away at Marassi on Monday, August 22 before hosting Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma five days later.

Chelsea suffer N’golo Kante blow

Elsewhere, Chelsea midfielder N’golo Kante is set to be out of action for upto four weeks with a knock, it has been revealed.

Kante did not complete 90 minutes in the London derby against Tottenham on Sunday, August 14 after picking up a hamstring injury.

Latest reports now say Kante will likely miss three to four weeks with injury, although MRI scans will likely reveal the extent of the damage.
