Tyrique and Alonzo Bartlett have their work cut out for them as they aim to make it as professional footballers.
This is according to their father Shaun, the legendary former Bafana Bafana, Charlton, Cape Town Spurs and Charlton Athletic striker. Current Spurs Bartlett said that he would assist Tyrique (23) and Alonzo (22) where he could, but it was up to them to reach for their dreams.
He told SowetanLIVE:

“Tyrique was at Spurs but he is looking for a team now. I can try and help them out but they must also create their own paths. Yeah, there’s always pressure when their dad achieved a lot but they will grow and make opportunities for themselves. It’s not easy when you have big shoes to fill but they have the talent and can go far in their careers.”
Elsewhere, there could be a son following in his father's footsteps of playing in the Premier Soccer League. According to iDiskiTimes, Aden McCarthy is on the verge of cracking the senior Kaizer Chiefs squad, which his father Fabian remains famous for. McCarthy junior was a key part of the Amakhosi reserve side which one last season's DStv Diski Shield, the club's second title in that competition.

Former striker Siyabonga Nomvete is a proud man after his son chose to play professional football just like his father.
As reported by Sports Brief, Lifa Nomvete has established himself in Amazulu's DStv Diski Challenge as a regular. His father is an assistant coach in the club's senior team in the DStv Premiership.
Nomvete is remembered in the football fraternity after bursting onto the scene with the highly entertaining African Wanderers team of the mid-1990s, including Sibusiso Zuma and Phumlani Mkhize.
