Manchester United are reportedly interested in the signing of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

The Red Devils are desperate to bring in a prolific striker this summer and have already been linked to various players.

The defeats came against Brighton and Brentford, with the most recent outing ending in a 4-0 humiliating loss at the Community Stadium.

United players have failed to find the back of the net in the two games, with their only goal being an own goal by Brighton.

Man United linked with summer move for Jamie Vardy

Reports now suggest that they have turned their attention toward signing Vardy to help solve their striking issues.

Accoridng to The Athletic, the Red Devils are interested in signing the Englishman despite Leicester's reluctance to let him go.

Vardy has enjoyed a spectacular run in the Premier League since he joined the Foxes back in 2012.

The 35-year-old has scored 164 times in 387 games for the King Power Stadium-based outfit, with the highlight of his career coming in 2015-16 when he was crowned the Premier League Player of the Season.

Erik ten Hag cancels rest day for Manchester United players

Sports Brief had earlier reported that it has now emerged that Erik ten Hag ordered Manchester United players to train on a day they were meant to rest.

The football world is still reeling from shock after Manchester United were humbled by Brentford 4-0 on Saturday evening. It was a new low for the club, which has now lost back-to-back games in the Premier League.

Ten Hag did away with the rest day of the players and made them run at least 13.8 kilometres in the sun.
