FootballKaizer Chiefs Coach Arthur Zwane Admits That Mamelodi Sundowns Played Them Off the Park
- Kaizer Chiefs boss Arthur Zwane has had to make the most aggravating of admissions following the crushing defeat 4-0 at the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns last Saturday
- Zwane said that the defending DStv Premiership champions had outplayed the Amakhosi in all departments at Loftus Versfeld
- The chastening defeat was a major setback for Chiefs after an encouraging victory over Maritzburg United last Tuesday
Kaizer Chiefs was thoroughly outplayed across the park at Loftus Versfeld last Saturday by Mamelodi Sundowns.
This is the thought of coach Arthur Zwane as the club nurses its wounds following a 4-0 thumping by the defending DStv Premiership.
According to Sport24, Zwane stated:
"We don't want to make any excuses. We were outplayed in all departments and we were not ourselves. We were a bit better in the second half, where we had a bit of offensive attack.

"We couldn't capitalise and we got punished. These things happen to the best teams in the world and we're trying to get some combinations while bringing in some new players."
Meanwhile, Sundowns head coach Rhulani Mokwena thanked Bongani Zungu for his return to Chloorkop. Zungu was unveiled in front of 40 000 spectators attending the demolition by club chairman Thlopie Motsepe.
The Citizen quoted Mokwena saying:
“I want to thank Bongani for his patience and trust because he had a lot of other offers that were even more lucrative than what we offered but he chose to come to us.
“Sometimes it helps when there are some good relations between the coaches and players because there is the desire to come and work with the coach and be part of the set-up.”

FootballKaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane defends Siyabonga Ngezana following nightmare against Mamelodi Sundowns
Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana is not the most popular player on the team right now.
As reported by Sports Brief, he had a shocker yesterday at Loftus Versfeld in the Amakhosi's humiliating 4-0 loss to the opportunistic defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
He was at fault for The Brazilians' first two goals within 20 minutes of the start that floored Chiefs before the team could settle.
