The Red Devils were hoping to get their Premier League campaign back on track when they took on the Bees, having lost in their season opener against Brighton.
However, Ten Hag's charges continued with their woeful form at the Gtech Community Stadium as they were humbled by a resurgent Brentford side.

Speaking after the humiliating defeat, United boss Ten Hag slammed his charges for the defeat, describing his side's performance as 'rubbish' and 'poor.'
According to Metro UK, the Dutchman further took the time to apologise to the fans, just two games into his tenure at Theatre of Dreams.
"It’s quite clear it’s rubbish, it’s poor, and we need higher standards than that, and it’s clear," Ten Hag told beIN Sports.
"Difficult for me and a surprise. The team has to take the responsibility and I feel sorry for the fans. We let them down," he added in a subsequent interview.
