Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City can now plan for how they will get into the CAF Champions group stages.
The defending DStv Premiership champions will meet either Cameroon's Coton Sport or the Ivory Coast's Asec Mimosa in the preliminary second round. Cape Town City will take on Congo-Brazzaville team AS Otoho D'Oyo.
Debutants Marumo Gallants and Royal AM also found out what their path in the Confederations Cup will be. Gallants - the Nedbank Cup runners-up - have received a bye in the first preliminary stage.
Thwihli Thwahla, who finished in third place on the table, will take on Mbabane Swallows from Eswatini.

The preliminary first-round fixture (first-leg) will take place on the weekend of 9-11 September, with the second leg a week later. The preliminary second round (first-leg) matches kick-start after the international break on the weekend of 7-9 October.

The opening match of the 2022 DStv Premiership match between Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns last Friday at the Cape Town City almost did not take place.
As reported by Sports Brief, this was due to the Cityzens bringing onboard First National Bank as the club's main title sponsor.
It was reported that SAFA officials were told that FNB's logo on their jersey was not approved, before the club acquired a court interdict which ensured that the match went ahead.
