Footage of Manchester United captain Harry Maguire leading his teammates to stand on the wrong side of the tunnel prior to their Premier League opener has caused a massive stir on social media.
Maguire, whose leadership skills have been called to question, received a vote of confidence from new manager Erik Ten Hag to remain as United captain ahead of the new season amid calls for him to be stripped of the captaincy role.
Leading United to their opening Premier League game against Brighton last Sunday Maguire appeared to have stood on the wrong side of the tunnel.
His act of negligible error has since gone viral with many social media users questioning the competency of the English centre-back.

In a video posted on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, goalkeeper David De Gea stood behind his captain -Harry Maguire - and looked quite confused.
United's safest pair of hands can then be seen pointing to his left and conversing with Maguire, who then had to tell Brighton skipper Lewis Dunk to get his team to swap sides.
The awkward incident served as a prelude to Man United's shocking home loss to Brighton at Old Trafford.
It is, however, worth noting that the new gaffer, Erik ten Hag has made a huge change in regards to the dug-out at Old Trafford.

FootballUnited's substitutes and coaching staff are now seated in what was previously the away dug-out, which is closer to the Stretford End - the traditional heart of the home support - and the tunnel.
