Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has not been left out of a momentous occasion as he joined the celebrations of Ivory Coast's Independence Day.

The West African nation is celebrating it's 62nd anniversary since gaining Independence from French colony.

In a post on social media, Drogba celebrated the moment and wished his country prosperity in the future.

Drogba was born in Ivory Coast but left for France to begin his football career at a very young age.

He captained the national team of Ivory Coast for many years and etched his name in the country's folklore after using football to united the country during the civil war.
