Ghana clinched their first win at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations championship in Egypt after beating Guinea-Bissau 2-0 at the Suez Stadium.
The Black Stars needed outright victory to ensure they progress to the next round and they secured the much needed victory at the end of the fixture.
Jordan Ayew broke the deadlock just one minute after returning from the half time break through a superb strike.
