Queens Park Rangers have announced the signing of Super Eagles defender Stephen Eze and the Nigerian player has expressed satisfaction for the latest development about his career.

The English club took to their official website to confirm the latest update about Stephen Eze as they hope the Nigerian help the team in the coming new season.

Stephen Eze started his professional football career years back in the Nigerian League when he appeared for Lobi Stars featuring in 21 games between 2012-2014 before moving to Sunshine Stars.

It was in Akure that many coaches and football pundits actually saw the brilliant games of Stephen Eze as the defender played 63 games.

After two seasons with Sunshine, Eze joined Ifeanyi Ubah where he won Nigeria Super Cup in early 2017. On 9 November 2017, Eze joined Kano Pillars.

According to the report by QPR on their site, the Nigerian player explained that he is ready to excel in his new environment.

Super Eagles Star Reveals How He Lost Confidence at World Cup When He Met Messi

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles midfielder Lukman Haruna opened up on how he lost his confidence at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa when he met Lionel Messi while playing for Nigeria.

The 31-year-old Lukman Haruna came into prominence in 2007 when he helped the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria to win the Under 17 World Cup under late Coach Yemi Tela.

His performances then promoted him to the Under 20 where he also played in the 2009 World Cup with the Nigerian team.

Lukman Haruna who is currently without a club explained that he has been training hard and hopeful that he would get a club.

He also explained that playing against Lionel Messi was a great experience for him at the World Cup.
