Legendary Ivorian forward, Didier Drogba, has shared throwback photos of his youthful days at US Dunkerque.

The former Ivory Coast captain left Africa at a very young age to France, where he started his football at US Dunkerque.

In a post on social media, Drogba revealed how it all started, as he played from grassless pitches to the Stamford Bridge.

"Where it all started," wrote the ex-Chelsea star with photos from his youth days.

Drogba spent most of the beginning of his career at Dunkerque before moving to Le Mans to start his professional career.

He moved to Guingamp in 2002 and after showing enormous talent, moved to Olympique Marseille the following year. He left for Chelsea after a successful campaign at Marseille.

Drigba became a Legend after an initial eight year spell with the Blues, where he won several titles including the UEFA Champions League.

He played 105 times for Ivory Coast, scoring 65 goals before retiring.

Peter Drury names Drogba as one of the greatest African players to play in England

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Popular football commentator Peter Drury has mentioned Mohamed Salah and Didier Drogba as some of the greatest Africans he has seen play in the English Premier League.

Drury has been a regular voice on TV screens during the top-flight English matches and has seen plenty of players pass through the most lucrative league in the world.

In an interview with Kenyan sports journalist Eric Njiru, Drury put Salah on top of his list.

Zaha picks Henry over Drogba as his best EPL striker of all-time

Wilfried Zaha has ranked Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, as his best striker in the Premier League of all time.

The Crystal Palace forward waxed lyrical about Henry when he was asked to name his best forward in the Premier League.

Zaha also placed Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo second and Chelsea’s Didier Drogba third. Henry who was part of the invincible squad of 2004 was Zaha’s childhood hero.
