New Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus is officially the most selected player in the history of the Fantasy Premier League game, with a whopping 72.5% of virtual managers placing him in their squads.
Jesus signed for Arsenal for £45 million from Manchester City and despite initially looking like a gamble, the Brazilian has exceeded expectations, at least in preseason.
He has scored seven goals on tour including an impressive hat trick as Arsenal completely destroyed Sevilla 6-0 over the weekend.
In the Fantasy game, Jesus comes at an alarming bargain price of £8 million, and majority of managers could not resist him as an addition to their squads.

Notably, Jesus is considerably cheaper than his counterparts in the league like Harry Kane, who is still one of the most expensive players in the league with £11.5 million, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who is £10.5 million despite uncertainty over his future.
As per stats compiled by the Fantasy Premier League, Jesus leads the line as the most selected player by position.
Mohammed Salah, who is considered a winger/midfielder is the most selected from midfield with 59.1% of managers choosing the Egyptian.
Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold - 57.3% is the most popular defender in the league with 57.3% of managers selecting him, while Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy is the most popular goalkeeper.

Elsewhere, Former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has appeared to criticise Erling Haaland's performance against Manchester City.
