Veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is looking forward to welcoming Cesc Fabregas to Serie B. Fabregas completed a shock transfer to Como after his AS Monaco contract expired.

The midfielder is bound to come up against Buffon's Parma in the league matches next season. During his presentation, Fabregas explained that he would like to score against Buffon.

The two players have been part of great teams over the years, facing each other in different high-profile matches.

Football Italia reports that Fabregas scored against Buffon during his time at Arsenal when he faced Buffon's Juventus in the Champions League of 2006 and for Spain during the Euro Championships of 2012.

Fabregas has since responded by telling the 44-year-old World Cup-winning goalkeeper he will see him soon. Buffon won the World Cup with Italy in 2006 while Fabregas won it with Spain in 2010.

Sports Brief had previously reported that Gianluigi Buffon has disclosed he has no intentions of hanging up his boots anytime soon.

The legendary goalkeeper, now 44, is currently going strong and preparing for season number 28 in professional football. Having left Juventus last summer, Buffon is currently with his boyhood side FC Parma and is expected to still be an integral part of the side for the upcoming campaign.

Last season, the 2006 World Cup winner impressively made 28 appearances for Parma and ahead of the new season, he played down talks of retirement.
