Chelsea have paid their final respects to their late Ghanaian kitman, Eric Asiedu, who passed away last month.

Mr Asiedu died after a short illness on June 7, 2022 following his return to England.

In a video posted on social media, the club led by manager Thomas Tuchel and first team players paid a glowing tribute to the late Mr Asiedu, observing a minute silence.

The U18 team also honoured the man with a friendly game victory over Coventry. They won the game 7-0.

Eric Asideu has been working with the Blues since 2013, and carved a likeable persona at the London club.

His death came as a shock to many at the club, with the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi, former Chelsea captain John Terry and Reece James all reacting to his sudden passing.

Chelsea returned from their pre-season tour of the United States today and will engage Udinese in their final friendly before the start of the season.

Chelsea mourn Ghanaian kitman Eric Asiedu

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that English club, Chelsea, are mourning the passing of Ghanaian kitman, Eric Asiedu, who passed away after a two-week vacation in his native.

Eric Asiedu joined the Blues in 2013 and has since been working with the U18 team before his sudden death.

Chelsea took to their official website to mourn the passing of the man affectionately known as the Boss at Cobham.

Chelsea put Ghanaian defender Baba Rahman on sale

Chelsea are set to offload Ghana defender Baba Rahman in the summer transfer window following struggles to break into the first team.

Rahman joined Chelsea from Augsburg in 2015, but the Black Stars left-back has spent most of his time on loan.

According to Pulse, the Blues will sell the defender who has a year left on his current deal as they make room for new players.
