Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly close to sealing the signing of Roberto Firmino from Liverpool.

According to Metro UK, the departure of Sadio Mane was expected to boost Firmino's chance of regular playing time.

However, Liverpool's move to sign Darwin Nunez has further complicated the Brazilian forward's place in Jurgen Klopp's team.

And with the 2022 World Cup are the corner, Firmino is said to be keen on regular game time to increase his chances of making the Brazil squad.

Juventus ready to secure Roberto Firmino's signature

Italian publication Corriere dello Sport now claims that Juventus are about to capitalise on Firmino's situation to secure his services.

According to the publication, the Turin-based club are close to signing the 30-year-old in a £19m deal.

Firmino, who has spent close to seven years t Anfield has just one year left on his current contract with the Reds, which is why the fee is relatively low.

Juve are expected to end their pursuit for Chelsea forward Timo Werner and Man United's Anthony Martial if the deal gets over the line.
