Nigeria international John Ogu has expressed unhappiness towards how he was ignored by late Stephen Keshi to travel with the Super Eagles to the 2014 FIFA World Cup held in Brazil.
The attacking midfielder was also not happy with how he did not play any game at the 2018 World Cup which occurred in Russia in which coach Gernot Rohr was in charge of the Super Eagles.
Before the Super Eagles qualified for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, John Ogu played an important role in the qualifiers, but he was dropped from making the 23-man squad by coach Keshi.
Interestingly, former Kano Pillars' midfielder Gabriel Reuben who was injured that time was considered and made the Super Eagles squad to Brazil.

According to the reports on GOAL and Punch, John Ogu stated clearly that he should have been part of the Super Eagles playing squads for the 2014 World Cup and that of 2018.

"The first World Cup I was supposed to go to, during a pre-World Cup game against Italy, I did well.
"And then another one was the last World Cup, the dream of going to competition came true, and coach Rohr didn't even give me one minute.''
