Tension in Paris As Armed Raiders Attack Hotel Messi and Family Lives, Steal Thousands of Pounds and Jewellery

- Reports have it that masked raiders stormed the hotel and made away with thousands of pounds worth of jewellery and cash
- The criminals raided an apartment above Messi’s suite with £3,000 gold necklace, £500 earrings and £2,000 cash missing
Reports filtering in from France have it that the hotel where Lionel Messi and his family members lives in Paris has been raided by masked men.
The Argentine legend moved the Paris Saint-Germain during the summer and he and family members have moved to France.
The 34-year-old is yet to find a permanent apartment and latest reports claim masked raiders hit the hotel where the superstar stays, making away with thousands of pounds of jewellery and cash.
Upon arrival at Le Royal Monceau, Messi took time out to wave to the fans from the balcony and now it was discovered that a gang scaled down the outside of the building and entered after unlocking the balcony door.
Daily Star are claiming that the criminals gained entry into the floow above Messi’s suite and ransacked four rooms.
A female guest who was a victim of the incident disclosed that £3,000 gold necklace was missing, plus £500 earrings and £2,000 in cash when she returned the next day.
She said via SunSport:
“To pay a fortune for somewhere fancy and secure and have someone walk in your room is very disturbing. The police told us they saw two men with a bag on the roof on CCTV cameras but they could not identify them.
“They said three other robberies were also reported. A Moroccan guy in the next room told me he had his watch stolen.”
Messi meets Ed Sheeran
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi Lionel Messi ran into Grammy Award-winning musician Ed Sheeran shortly after Paris Saint-Germain recorded their first Champions League of the season.
The Parisians clashed with Pep Guardiola's Manchester City at Parc des Princes as the Argentine netted his first goal for the club in front of their home fans.
Little did the current world best player know that he would meet multi-platinum artist Ed Sheeran after the game as they took a photo together.
