Gundogan was ushered in and went on to become the hero, scoring two goals, with Rodri adding the third one to complete the impressive turnaround. But as Goal reports, the German was not amused that he had to start on the bench in the first place.
We are all competitive, we all want to play and I remember the week before I hadn't started the West Ham game, so I was quite confident in starting and then the moment I found out I wasn't starting, I was a bit frustrated and angry.
The midfielder provided an Aguero-Esque moment as the Cityzens stormed to a fourth league title in five years.
The 31-year-old will once again be in the thick of the action as City launch their campaign against West Ham for a third consecutive title. They, however, play Liverpool first this weekend in the Community Shield.
