AC Milan and French midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko has opened up following his encounter with the Milan Police in Italy.
According to an official statement by the Police in Milan, Bakayoko was held at gunpoint because the on-loan Chelsea midfielder fits the description of a suspect they were pursuing.
But speaking for the first time after the shocking incident which came into the limelight on Monday, July 18, Tiémoué Bakayoko, who has forgiven the police, believes the personnel went overboard with their search.
“The Milan authorities recently communicated that it was a mistake by the police and that they realized it at the time." He shared on his Instagram story as quoted by 24hfootnews.

"To err is human, I have no problem with that. On the other hand, the way and the methodology used are problematic for me.
"I think it went further than it should have. Why didn’t they just do a proper check? By asking for the vehicle papers, by simply communicating.”
“On the video published on social networks, we do not see everything, specifies the midfielder. This is the quietest part of everything that could have happened.
"I found myself with the gun a meter away from me, on the passenger side window. They clearly put our lives in danger, regardless of their reasons for doing so. This is a mistake, knowing that there was no certainty about the suspects apprehended."

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that there was drama and a shocking moment when Italian police mistakenly arrested Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
In a clip spotted by Sports Brief, Bakayako is seen patted down at gunpoint along the streets of an unidentified place in Italy.
Bakayoko is currently on loan to AC Milan after failed time at Chelsea. He was part of the AC Milan's squad that won the club's first Scudetto in 11 years.
