Brendan Rodgers who is the gaffer of Premier League giants Leicester City has revealed that Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will be back in training next week after fresh injury.
The Super Eagles midfielder has not played for the Foxes since he got injured while playing in the Europa League in March and was unable to end the season with his side.
Also, Wilfred Ndidi was unable to feature for Nigeria in the World Cup play-offs against Ghana in which the Black Stars picked the ticket to travel to Qatar.
Interestingly, the Nigerian star recuperated this month and started light training before he sustained another injury.

According to the report on Soccernet, Brendan Rodgers stated clearly that the new injury Wilfred Ndidi suffered is not that serious as fans are scared ahead of the new season.

“Ndidi’s twisted his ankle in training a few days ago. We don’t think it’s too serious.
“It’s a high ankle sprain, so he had a scan on it and it’ll hopefully be okay. We’ve just looked after him really, he won’t be involved at the weekend. But of course, hopefully, next week at some point he’ll be back training.”
