Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was reportedly frightened over the weekend when he was mobbed by fans of Italian side Napoli outside the Carciato pitch after training.

The Nigerian who has been away for holidays recently returned to Napoli to start preparations ahead of the coming season as the club are ready to fight for the title.

Last season, Napoli tried their best to win the Italian Serie A title, but they ended up finishing third on the final table behind Inter Milan and AC Milan.

According to the report on Punch, Napoli fans created scenes of panic beyond the barriers when the Nigeria international came out to sign the autographs.

The fans were also said to have behaved unruly as they prevented the children from taking pictures with the Nigerian player.

There are some clubs interested in the signing of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen with the likes of Manchester United and Bayern Munich said to be monitoring.

Victor Osimhen is expected to lead the attack for the Super Eagles when the 2022 African Cup of Nations resumes in September.
