Marcus Rashford has opened up about the intimidating nature of Liverpool's Anfield stadium.

The 24-year-old English international, who is known for forthrightness, earlier disclosed his hatred for Liverpool while making the confession about the atmosphere about the fabled Liverpool grounds.

Rashford, a native of Manchester, disclosed his mixed feelings about taking a trip to Anfield due to the vociferous nature of the crowd at Anfield.

When quipped about the grounds he loves and hates to visit in the Premier League, Rashford did not hesitate to choose Liverpool's hallowed grounds of Anfield.

"Liverpool is like both," Rashford added. "Their fans can take the game away from you. If you let them, they can take it away from you," he told UNINTERRUPTED via the Mirror.
"My first game at Anfield, I almost got sent off straight away and I'm not a malicious player - I wouldn't try and hurt someone on purpose."

The English forward appears to have rediscovered his form under new manager Erik Ten Hag as the club prepares for the new season.

He has scored once in two games with the new-look Man United sweeping aside Premier League rivals Liverpool and Australian top-flight club Melbourne Victory last week.

Rashford would hope to maintain his momentum as the Premier League season kicks start in a couple of weeks.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford boldly took a dig at local rivals Manchester City after claiming Liverpool are the Red Devils’ biggest rivals because they have history.

Rashford did an interview with UNINTERRUPTED where he risked the wrath of Man City fans with the bold sentiments.

Last season, Manchester City joined United as one of the few Premier League clubs who successfully defended their title after beating Liverpool to the top stop on the last day of the season.
