FootballOrlando Pirates Cult Hero Steve Lekoelea Sends Warning to the Club's New Signings
- Former Orlando Pirates midfield magician Steve Lekoelea has ensured that the club's new players are under no illusion about the task at hand
- "Chippa" has warned them that as much as they are of the required standard to play for the team, the pressure will be like no other experienced before
- Pirates has been aggressive on the transfer market, signing six players already with more to come in the off-season
Orlando Pirates' new signings must understand that they are at a big club under much more pressure than ever before.
This is the stark warning Buccaneers legend Steve Lekoelea had for the likes of Bienvenu Eva Nga, Miguel Timm, Nkosinathi Sibisi and Tapelo Xoki, as well as Evidence Makgopa, who are just some of the players who have joined the club.
He told Kick Off:
"They’re good players but they need to understand that they are at a big club now. The pressure will be different. Everyone is a coach, even the fans are coaches. If you’re not putting in the right performances the fans will let you know about it. That’s just how important the badge is."
